1st comment ; Great,Great,Great!!! Unfortunately, all rifles are far beyond my range of affordability nowadays, but 20 years ago I would have had one...My question is what brands of optics do all you 1000yd. shooters like to use,,,and do you consider Hi - Lux scopes, in particular, the 7x30by50mm a worthwhile investment? I hope so because I topped my Mod.700 Rem. in 22-250 A.I. with that very scope about 3 months ago...Thank You for any opinions you may have...

I have shot a few Surgeon rifles (6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5x47 Lapua, 6.5x284 Norma and .338 Lapua) and they are the best built and most accurate rifles I have ever shot. I have sixteen years in Federal Law Enforcement, shoot competition locally and have been a FLETC certified firearm instructor for thirteen of those sixteen years and have never been as impressed as I have been with Surgeon rifles! I personally own a Surgeon Remedy .338 Lapua topped with a Schmidt and Bender PMII 5-25x56 (H2CMR reticle) and can say without a doubt that it is by far the most accurate and well built piece of precision equipment I have personally ever shot, much less seen in person. I WILL own at least one more Surgeon rifle in the near future.

In addition and most importantly, I have found the staff at Surgeon to be friendly, extremely helpful and that they sincerely want to make sure that your rifle is everything that you want it to be and more.

308.would be one of my choices for a snipper rifle what would be your first choice ? If I choose 308. what would be my most effective yardage? Say around 800 meters.would a 24in. barrel verses 20 in. how much velocity would one lose? Is 308 your most sought out cal. for a tactical rifle.LOOKING forward to your opinion and hope to here from you, thank you for your time.
