With features like a one-piece bolt, raceways and bolt bore cut with wire EDM, side mounted bolt stop and the capability of being fed by internal box magazine or most detachable box magazine (AI or HS with appropriate bottom metal)

Double pinned .250" recoil lug
Drilled and tapped for four #8-36 tpi scope mount screws and two 1/8" Dow pins to help in prefect alignment of the scope mount and take some of the recoil off the mount screws
As in the 591 Short actions the RSR will fit in any stock made for the Remington 700 short action, and uses many of the common parts
